Natalie Portman and Jet Li in New Disney Movie … WTF?
This sounds something like an April Fools joke but according to the reputable Chinese site, Crienglish.com, Jet Li is reported to be co-starring alongside Natalie Portman in a new modern Disney remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
This unlikely duo will be starring in a movie with an even more unlikely plot. Natalie Portman plays a reincarnated Snow White while Jet Li plays a Chinese Shaolin monk who is sworn to protect pieces of the “magic mirror”.
Protecting the magic mirror from what? Snow White’s stepmother of course who is aiming for world domination by capturing Snow White and the magic mirror. Yes I am equally confused yet amused.
Given the plot, I would predict a straight to DVD movie but given the cast and the budget ($70 million US), I reckon they will get their worldwide theatrical showing. Let’s see where this one goes.

The most influential icons of the 90s are back and they’re bringing back Girl Power. They’re doing a worldwide comeback tour, releasing a documentary as well as a Greatest Hits CD. But what have they been up to since they retired almost a decade ago? Plastic surgery and pregnancy. (they have 8 Spice kids between them, including Eddie Murphy’s baby by Scary Spice).
